Ultraflesh Rose Gold Blusher Review

While shopping in Mcarthur Glen I managed to pick up an Ultraflesh blusher. I’ve heard good things about their products in the past so I was excited to be finally able to try a product of theirs.
I picked up a rose gold blusher, which is out of my comfort zone and a colour I want to try and wear. So basically this was a kill two birds with one stone moment for me! The colour didn’t look too bright and just had enough of a shimmering glow to it that didn’t look too much for me to handle.

I paid £4.99 for this, but it does retail for around $30.

Weleda Skin Food Review

I was kindly sent a pack from Weleda to try their Skin Food, which is an all purpose cream for dry skin. I’ve known of Weleda products for a while but never had an opportunity to try their products.

Loved amongst celebrities such as Adele, Rihanna, Alexa Chung and Victoria Beckham, I was keen to get on board the Skin Food train to see if it could help with my dry elbows and knees.

What interested me about trying this was the fact the ingredients are all natural, and I am partial to a bit of lavender. I’m also a bit obsessed with hand creams and body creams and my skin changes so often I felt like these would be good points to put the Skin Food to the test to.

Shadow Switch Review

Last month I entered a Twitter contest run by @BeautyEssUK and surprisingly won a Shadow Switch, which is a product that lets you change your eye shadow or powder colour quickly and effectively if you’re limited to a few brushes doing a look with lots of shadow colours. I was a bit sceptical I must admit because I didn’t understand how it would work.

When I received it the look of the product wasn’t what I expected at all. With the Shadow Switch there is no need to use any brush cleaner or wet products, you swirl and go. This intriguing product has definitely revolutionised how I use my brushes.

This nifty little product retails for £5.99 and you can get it on Amazon.

Korean Skincare and makeup Haul at TK Maxx Cardiff.

At the moment TK Maxx have some promotions going on some Korean Skincare and Beauty items in their store in Cardiff.

Sadly I’m living on a tight budget as it’s nearing the end of the month, however I picked up a few items to try as I’ve always wanted to try some Korean skincare. When it comes to skincare, Asians have it mastered.

At the moment TK Maxx are offering hair masks and face masks, face washes, skin cream, snail gel, products infused with gold or pearl, and a bunch of makeup.

I limited myself to £25 and bought just under that amount. I purchased two boxes of face masks, a lip tint, and a blusher. The blusher was the only item purchased that wasn’t Korean. I just simply couldn’t leave a Tarina Tarantino product behind!

How I de-stress; Charity / Thrift Shopping

I have a fight or flight mode when it comes to my mental health, and usually I choose flight. In the past I have gotten on random buses or trains and just gotten off at the last stop to have a walk around and clear my head, which can be a bit dangerous for me because I have no sense of direction. So when I need to de-stress or try to get away for a hour or two I try to stick to my area of Cardiff and have a look around charity shops. This way I don’t spend money that I usually don’t have, its kind of guilt free knowing it’s going to charity and can get my frustrations out by rummaging around boxes and coat rails of clothes. The best thing to do is go with an open mind and you’ll find some things you were totally not expecting.

My favourite place to go is Albany Road. I’ve heard that Canton is also great for charity shops as my friends have managed to pick up genuine bags and purses for under £5 because the shops think they’re fake, but I’ve yet to go there.

Click ahead to see what I’ve recently grabbed while having a travel around.
