I heart revolution Heartbreakers Lucky Palette review

I’ve been having a massive makeup clear out during lockdown and have donated or given away items I haven’t used or gently used. My collection had a lot of nudes or same colour stories so it’s time to revamp and add additional colours and products I don’t have.

I realized I lacked green eyeshadows, and for my complexion and eye colour I adore greens, especially mixed with golds and plums. I had a quick browse in Superdrug and found this cute palette for just £5, and having some Revolution / I heart Revolution makeup previously I picked it up.

This is the lucky Palette from their Heartbreaker line, which consists of tones of green and pops of colour which complement each other.

See below what I thought of this palette!

Price: £5

Available from: Superdrug, Revolution

L’oreal Colorista Washout Yellow Neon review

I dye my hair, a lot, if you hadn’t noticed by now! Growing up with a mother as a hairdresser, from the age of 15 have always had some sort of colour in my hair. It is kind of like a security blanket, but I don’t feel myself if my hair is brown or blonde, it has to have some splash of colour in it!
I found the Colorista Yellow Washout on an end of line clearance and was skeptical. Some yellows I have had in the past such as Crazy Colour, W7 or Directions didn’t come out very yellow, even on the lightest parts of my hair. I initially got this colour to mix it in with reds and oranges but thought why not try it on its own to create my ombre hair.

I think I paid £3 for this, but normal Colorista products retail for around £7.

ION SEI Electric Toothbrush Review

A few weeks ago I was contacted by ION SEI to try out their electric toothbrush. This is a different direction to my usual posts however I do believe it is imperative to keep up good oral hygiene. After being born with no enamel on my teeth, to having a tooth growing in the middle of the roof of my mouth and having braces for 4 years to drag it to the right place, to some teeth removed for silly mistakes I’ve made in the past, all the way down to infected teeth, I’ve seen it and been through it all. So if anyone can tell you to look after your teeth, I can definitely stand up and say please do because the pain isn’t worth it.

This electric toothbrush retails at £149, this sleek and light weight toothbrush claims to help remove plaque build up, help get rid of bacteria in the mouth using an LED sensor, and you can even use the toothbrush without toothpaste.  Accessories such as additional heads can be bought for £12.99.

To find out how I got on with it, read on!

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation Review

While at the Kat Von D Blogger Event I was given the opportunity to try a Lock It Foundation. This is something I had been dying to try for years as I had heard friends and bloggers online rave about the coverage and lasting power of the foundation.

The shade range available ranged from very pale to deep tones so there is definitely an option for almost everyone. If your shade is slightly off tone, you can mix the Lock It Concealers in to get your perfect shade.

Time trialled; 7 months

Shade chosen; Light Neutral 45

Cruelty free; Yes

Price; £27

Spring 2017 Trends And Predictions

With Spring literally just arriving, I’m eager to see what the trends will be for this season. I’m praying and hoping we ditch the matte lip, foundation and heavy brows and move on from the perfected Kylie Jenner-esque look.

Here are my predictions for the start to a fresher makeup look for Spring 2017.

Ultraflesh Rose Gold Blusher Review

While shopping in Mcarthur Glen I managed to pick up an Ultraflesh blusher. I’ve heard good things about their products in the past so I was excited to be finally able to try a product of theirs.
I picked up a rose gold blusher, which is out of my comfort zone and a colour I want to try and wear. So basically this was a kill two birds with one stone moment for me! The colour didn’t look too bright and just had enough of a shimmering glow to it that didn’t look too much for me to handle.
Ultraflesh blusher review
I paid £4.99 for this, but it does retail for around $30.

Worst Products I have bought – Part 1

As I’m moving house in a couple of weeks I’m starting to de-clutter my life starting with my biggest collection, my makeup drawers and bags. So I thought while I’m throwing things out I’d document the products I’ve barely touched and why I’ve never used them before giving them the chop.

These opinions and views are my own, and based on how they work on my own skin. My opinions in this blog post do not reflect other products in the lines of these companies, and were purchased with my own money.

Benefit Lollitint review + Swatches!

When I saw this product on some American blogger’s sites I knew as soon as it would hit the UK I’d need it, so I bought it straight away on launch day in Boots, which is conveniently placed opposite my counter so I did not have to venture far to get it! Plus I’m an absolute sucker for purple things, so this was a must!

Lollitint is a pink orchid tint for lips and cheeks, can be applied using fingers or brush, under or over foundation for a sweet tint. Pantone’s colour of the year is Radiant Orchid, which Pantone describes as  “Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination.” Which in my opinion describes this tint!

Price: £24.50.

Time Trialed: 2 weeks in store before hand, 1 week owning the product, three weeks in total. Continue reading “Benefit Lollitint review + Swatches!”
