Glam Glow was recently launched in Boots in Cardiff and I’ve been wanting to try this blogger favourite for a while. I managed to get some samples from the counter to try at home myself to figure out what one I love the most before I purchase. I have really sensitive skin so with any skincare product I always make sure to try before I commit and purchase.
I was given Youth Mud, Super Mud and Thirsty Mud to try so at the time of using this my skin needed a bit of a pick me up and exfoliate so I used Youth Mud. I’m 25, so I feel like this is the age I should start using anti ageing and look after my skin a little more so I was keen to try it and possibly purchase if I loved using it.
1 tub of Youth Mud sells every 10 seconds in the US so I was keen to see what the hype was.
One 50g tub costs around £39 from Boots.

While shopping in Mcarthur Glen I managed to pick up an Ultraflesh blusher. I’ve heard good things about their products in the past so I was excited to be finally able to try a product of theirs.
I picked up a rose gold blusher, which is out of my comfort zone and a colour I want to try and wear. So basically this was a kill two birds with one stone moment for me! The colour didn’t look too bright and just had enough of a shimmering glow to it that didn’t look too much for me to handle.
I paid £4.99 for this, but it does retail for around $30.

During October I was kindly sent a Stylfile Gel Polish Remover kit to try at home. Being a big Apprentice fan myself and a Stylfile fan, I was excited to try the remover kit myself and see how easy it is to remove my gels a different way than using foils.
The problem with using foils is they can be tricky to apply and hold on the nail securely. This is where inventor Tom Pellereau saw a gap in the market and created this simple way to remove them. He discovered that 52% of women believe that gel polish damages the nail. I would be in this 52% if I were voting in this poll, but according to Tom this is down to poor removal.
I am up for a challenge to see how easy it is to remove, and if my nails feel damaged and brittle after removal. 2 weeks into my gel nails being applied it is time to remove them using the kit and reapply some fresh colours. I have used a normal nail polish and a glittery one, to see if the remover two popular gel nail types.
The kit retails for £16.99 which has everything needed to remove your gels.

I was invited to go along to a ticketed event to celebrate the first birthday of Beauty Studio by Superdrug in Cardiff St Davids 2. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I was invited to the launch of the studio!
The event was for press and for beauty shoppers, where we were given the chance to get selected beauty treatments for free and treated to 10% off with the use of their Beauty Cards.

I was a bit skeptical about trying a new mascara but I did need a new every day mascara, as personally my usual mascara is a little too full volume for every day wear. I decided to try the new L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara in Violet for a change, and I got it at the introductory price of £5.99.
“Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara creates bold volume
with L’Oreal Paris’ first 360° flexible cone shaped brush that amplifies upper lashes and reveals lower lashes.”
With it’s interesting brush shape and advertisement I grabbed one to try.
Price: £5.99 (£8.99 RRP)
Time trialed: 4 weeks.

I was so excited to see what Petra and the gang could conjure up this Christmas and I was thrilled they brought out a mixture of things to mix and match from.
For me the most striking items from the collection were the eyeliner and lipgloss set, I have many many manyyy Pixi glosses and seeing they have a new formula for these I had to pick one up, as well as their iridescent iris endless silky eye pen, which I’m never disappointed by as all the colours I’ve got from the endless silly eye pen line have stayed put all day.
I just bought the Pixi Eye Glow Cube, and to be honest I do love the colours in the larger pallet but it would just be greedy if i bought it as I have barely used the Eye Glow Cube.
Review to follow for the lipglosses and eye pencil!
When I first saw this I was super excited to see that Pixi had released a new primer, especially since I loved their poreless primer! Redness for me is a big issue so when I paid visit to the Pixi shop this month it was at the very top of my list!
