Gluten Free Diaries; Pizza Faith Cardiff

I recently visited Pizza Faith after finding out that they serve gluten free bases, as well as normal vegan bases/pizza. We went as a trio, one Vegan, one gluten free, and one carnivore. Cheeses can even come in milk and vegan form so it keeps everyone happy.

We were able to choose from various toppings and sides, many of which are vegan and gluten free, and they even do deserts and donuts.

Pizzas start from £5 where you can create your own, choose one from the menu.  and you can also combine with a side and drink to create a meal deal.

To launch the new whopping 35 piece set, named the Holy Grail set, we were treated to an evening of pampering from Nails Inc, buffet from local veggie and vegan cafe Milgis, and cocktails and bubbles from Candy Kittens and Dirty Martini.

Mark Hill’s Pick and Mix in Boots Cardiff.

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to work on the day when Mark Hill came into store to demonstrate his new Pick and Mix range of hair tools and products. I popped down to have a look at the display and Meet Mark on my lunch break. There was an array of products on display including every wand available to purchase, three demo stations to have your hair done by one of the wands of your choice and a pop up selfie booth. I was told that they had a blogger event in the morning as they assumed that’s why I popped along, I wasn’t invited to but didn’t mind as I got to see the event all day from my counter.

How I de-stress; Charity / Thrift Shopping

I have a fight or flight mode when it comes to my mental health, and usually I choose flight. In the past I have gotten on random buses or trains and just gotten off at the last stop to have a walk around and clear my head, which can be a bit dangerous for me because I have no sense of direction. So when I need to de-stress or try to get away for a hour or two I try to stick to my area of Cardiff and have a look around charity shops. This way I don’t spend money that I usually don’t have, its kind of guilt free knowing it’s going to charity and can get my frustrations out by rummaging around boxes and coat rails of clothes. The best thing to do is go with an open mind and you’ll find some things you were totally not expecting.

My favourite place to go is Albany Road. I’ve heard that Canton is also great for charity shops as my friends have managed to pick up genuine bags and purses for under £5 because the shops think they’re fake, but I’ve yet to go there.

Click ahead to see what I’ve recently grabbed while having a travel around.

Jamie xx – London February 26 2016

After being a big fan of Jamie xx for around 4 years, I missed out on getting tickets to his last London date, but this time around my friend and I were prepared, so prepared that we managed to be one of the lucky ticket holders for his set in Alexandra Palace in February. His sets and gigs sell out in a matter of minutes, and this date was no different.

Part of the critically acclaimed British group The xx, Jamie produces his own music using samples and original beats to create euphoric melodies and upbeat dance numbers. Some of his most popular songs include the newly released I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times), Far Nearer, and Take Care with Gil Scott-Heron’s, which was also covered by Drake and Rihanna.

The venue had a projected album cover on the outside for the night, lighting up the area with rainbow hues and exciting the queues of people further that they’d be seeing Jamie inside.
